Anticipating and Meeting Accountability Challenges

This is a Comptroller General Presentation delivered to National Active and Retired Federal Employees on April 13, 2015. Major topics of this presentation include: (1) federal debt held by the public as a share of GDP, (2) the Budget Control Act and focus on discretionary spending, (3) fiscal sustainability and debt challenges, (4) demographic and societal changes confronting young and old, and (5) advances in science and technology.
