Highlights

An advance decision was requested with regard to the entitlement of an injured member on permanent duty on a homeported vessel to payment of housing, cost-of-living, and travel per diem allowances incident to temporary duty for medical treatment. The member's orders did not effect a permanent change of station. The member, who remained permanently assigned to the vessel and who continued to reside off base and subsequently married, was eligible for station housing and cost-of-living allowances and to travel per diem as authorized by regulation. His entitlement to travel per diem was limited to a 180-day period since temporary duty in excess of 6 months at the same location was not authorized by the appropriate authority.
