A former National Guard technician appealed the Claims Group's denial of his claim for real estate expenses incurred incident to a permanent change of duty station. Legislation provides that every claim or demand against the United States cognizable by GAO must be received by GAO within 6 years after the date it first accrued or be forever barred. The technician incurred the claimed expenses in 1970 and 1971 and did not file with GAO until 1981. Accordingly, the claim was not allowed.
