Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO reported on the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) progress in implementing its Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program, focusing on: (1) the program's status; (2) HUD actions to coordinate its efforts with other federal agencies that fund the supportive services needed for the FSS program; and (3) HUD determinations of the amounts to reimburse local housing agencies for costs of operating their FSS programs.
