Jacqueline M. Nowicki is a Director in GAO’s Education, Workforce, and Income Security team. Her current portfolio covers a wide range of pre K-12 education issues, including special education; educational outcomes, access, and discipline for low-income and minority children; school safety; school facility conditions; and school choice. She also co-leads GAO’s work on federal efforts to prevent drug misuse. Her 20+ year GAO career includes a wide range of audits on federal budgeting and grants management issues, user fees, performance budgeting, and the congressional appropriations process. Additionally, she teaches leadership and writing courses in GAO’s Learning Center, and is a certified Diversity and Inclusion Facilitator. Prior to joining GAO, Jackie worked in private sector consulting and led projects on education, job training and social policy issues for state and local government clients, and was a Senior Fiscal Analyst at the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
Jackie earned a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Maryland’s School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Lehigh University.
Jackie works in GAO’s Boston Field Office.
