Accessing Data Not Produced by GAO
For documents or data cited in a GAO report and not produced by GAO, please contact the original source agency or organization. Footnotes, a reference list, or a table or figure source line identify the original source.  

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests
GAO is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) (5 USC 552). However, GAO's disclosure policy follows the spirit of the act consistent with GAO's duties and functions as an agency with primary responsibility to the Congress. Learn more here.
