GAO reviewed Department of Defense (DOD) comments on its report on aircraft sales to foreign governments to fund radar procurements. GAO found that: (1) DOD did not use sales proceeds to replace the two aircraft sold to a foreign country as required; (2) the aircraft designated by the Navy as replacements were fully funded with appropriations without the sales proceeds; and (3) the recommendation that the Secretary of Defense deposit $44.4 million, which equaled the sale's proceeds, in the Special Defense Acquisition Fund or the Treasury, remained unchanged.
