Highlights
The National Institute of Education (NIE) has undertaken a number of projects to increase the participation of minorities and women in its activities. These projects include the unsolicited proposal program, the small and disadvantaged business utilization program, the minorities' and women's program, and the black college initiatives program. These efforts are designed to increase awareness in NIE programs and to provide greater opportunities for minorities and women to participate.
