GAO reviewed the Department of Justice's (Department) new rule on nondiscrimination on the basis of disability by public accomodations and in commercial facilities. GAO found that (1) the final rule revises the Department regulation that implements title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), relating to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability by public accommodations and in commercial facilities; and (2) the Department complied with the applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
