The GAO Women's Advisory Council presented its annual report for 1986. The council addressed a number of issues during 1986, including: (1) evaluating the job assignment process in GAO; (2) the progress of the proposal to increase credit hour ceiling; (3) part-time employment; (4) progress of GAO's most recent participant in the Federal Executive Women's Leadership Program; (5) GAO's affirmative action plans and goals and related activities, such as merit selection and recruitment;(6) personnel rules and proposed revisions in major personnel directives; (7) maternity/paternity benefits brochure; (8) child care and exercise facilities; and (9) the GAO asbestos control and abatement program.
