Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO provided information concerning the ethics program within the General Accounting Office. GAO has been able to resolve all conflict-of-interest problems by reassignment or divestiture, and it has not been necessary to take adverse action against any employee as the result of failure to resolve an ethics problem.
