The GAO Review, Summer 1969

GAO provided comments on the efforts taken by the Comptroller General when Congress enacted the Economic Opportunity Amendments of 1967. This act directed the Comptroller General to investigate the programs and activities financed under the Economic Opportunity Act to determine (1) the efficiency of their administration, and (2) the extent to which they achieve the objectives set forth in the authorizing legislation.
